     Program News!:

The next upcoming fun event for many of you to participate in will be Hanz's Excellent Adventure on SUNDAY FEBRUARY 10 from 1-4pm at the McCabe trail.  Free fun ski related events for all!
Join us!  Sign up at Webscorer (it helps us plan):

There are changes in the staffing as you may have heard.  Leslie Hall is the Program director and will be overseeing all the coaches and the various options.  Laura McCabe is the lead coach for the J2+ comp skiers, Scott Waichler will be leading the J3 comp skiers with Leslie's help on some days.   Phil Woras will be heading up the Devo groups and will have some help depending on how many sign up.   Allison Delong will be overseeing the large group of J4/5 skiers with many coaches working with those groups (this group includes Scotts, Aalsgards and some Kochs), and Jonathan Roatch is joining us to oversee the J6/7 (Kochs).  Most of us will be at the meeting on Monday the 29th.  We will have a great group of volunteer coaches covering all the age spectrum including: Paul Smith, Steve Oulman, Rob Crandall, Hanz Scholz, Sam Lucy, Kelleigh McMillan, Brian Fisher, Susan Prichard, Nellie Casey, Mark Rhinehart, Joe Riechert and Erik Brooks . And Pete Dickinson continues to lead our older skiers in Power Camp and help all athletes with injuries.  Scott Johnston and Sam Naney both have helped with specific workouts or periods of time.

The following coaches will not be joining us regularly this season: David Lawrence resigned as director in the spring and is spending the winter traveling and being with his family and doing the PSIA stuff,  Kyle and Emily Lints are not returning as coaches as they are due to have a baby any day!  Annie B will be working for Don Portman at Methow Valley Ski School.  Andy Miller has a newborn and will be busy with that. Heide Anderson may join us for some Holiday camp coaching but is busy with her horse.  Emily Post is taking a break from helping out with the coaching to relax a bit after organizing the ski ball!  THANK YOU to all of those coaches that have worked for the Team in the past or volunteered their time to make our program great.

New program director Leslie Hall takes the reins of the ski team as of July 1. Leslie has years of experience in nordic skiing from junior level racing through Olympic competition. She is enthusiastic about all the great young skiers in the program and looks forward to sharing her love of the sport with everyone involved.
