MVNT Silverstar On Snow Thanksgiving Camp

November 23-27, 2011, Silver Star, B.C., Canada

Silver Star, B.C. provides world class facilities, perfectly groomed trails and reliable early season snow.  Light crowds and lower elevation makes for ideal training. Improve your skiing in a 4 day on snow Nordic Training Camp with the Methow Valley Nordic Team. This camp is combines over-distance workouts, speeds and the right combination of intensity workouts to jump start your winter racing season. The Methow Valley Nordic Team annual early season on snow camp provides regional PNSA  skiers a mix of morning and afternoon on snow practices, both skate and classic skiing, all meals, transportation and wax.

Cost: $390-$450 (cost depends on the number of sign-ups).  Rest assured, our goal is to provide world class training for the absolute lowest cost possible.

J3 Skiers: J3 Skiers are welcomed to join us at Silver Star.  Leslie Hall, David Lawrence and Laura McCabe will each coach one session each day of the camp.  Parents are required to chaperone, buy trail passes and provide housing for the J3 skiers.  Cost: $50

The Methow Valley Nordic Team is pleased to offer this opportunity to build nordic skiing skills, develop friendships and share our love of Nordic skiing. Nordic skiers from 6-11 years old will ski and play together for approximately 3 hours a day under the guidance of our experienced coaches and team members.

Our coaches, collectively, have years of skiing and coaching experience, PSIA Certification and international racing experience!!

What to Bring:

• appropriate ski gear for the technique(s) of the day
• water bottle, handwarmers, healthy snack and lunch (we'll provide treats), extra gloves and socks, multiple layers for changing temperatures
• please LABEL everything even your rental skis and poles ... colored electricians' tape with Sharpie marker peels off easily upon return of equipment
